Planting Pastor
Rev. Jason Biette
Planting Pastor
Serving Christ’s Church through Word and Sacrament, pastoral care, and the nurture of covenant families.
Rev. Jason Biette has served Christ’s Church in various capacities for most of his adult life. Over the years, his calling has taken him from service as a deacon to ruling elder and eventually to pastoral ministry, with a consistent desire to see God’s people nourished by Word and Sacrament and established in the historic Christian faith.
Jason’s first pastoral call was to a small church plant in Winchester, Virginia. He subsequently had the privilege of pastoring his home congregation for five years, during which time he helped lead its session and congregation into the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC). He then spent five years serving as a teacher and pastoral counselor at an all-boys military boarding school.
The Lord next called Jason and his family to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he served a small CREC mission church for four years. Upon returning to central Virginia, he became part of Providence Church in Lynchburg, initially serving as a Minister without a Call and later joining the session as a ruling elder.
During this time, Jason learned of a group of Christians in Lexington who desired to establish a CREC congregation. What began as a series of conversations and informal meetings, through God’s gracious providence, grew into a monthly Vespers service and eventually into weekly Lord’s Day Covenant Renewal Worship. Providence Church Lexington Parish now gathers as an extension of Providence Church in Lynchburg, with the prayerful goal of being constituted as a mission church sometime in 2027.
Jason completed his undergraduate studies at Geneva College and earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. He is also a Fellow of Theopolis Institute, where he studied under Peter Leithart, Jeff Meyers, and other Theopolitan teachers.
Jason and his wife, Jessica, have been married for 22 years. They are blessed with five adventurous children, one of whom is married, and they are joyfully anticipating the arrival of their first grandchild.
Jason is grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness through the many places and seasons of his ministry and looks forward to seeing what God will accomplish through Providence Church Lexington Parish.
